Happy Ending? Perhaps!
After a break-up or a hard experience, You start to think of what went wrong and how could this happen to you. How could what you thought would be a "Happy Ending" turns out to be an "Epic Failure". You're going to go through a couple of phases before you start to slightly feel better. You may go through denial and anger phases before you start to comprehend what you have lost. Things have to be hard before they get better.
Alot of people never fully recover because they want to skip phases and they don't want to go through certain things. And that is very normal because no one likes to feel down or miserable. But a huge part of recovery is ACCEPTANCE. you have to first accept that you have LOST something or someone and be okay with it so that you can move on. You have to GRIEF before you start living your normal life again and however how weird this may seem but you have to give yourself time to grief and feel sad about it and do NOT rush things or feelings.
After a while, If you are lucky , You will realize that your depression seems to have subsided, you may not be sure if this is due to change of prespective or simply because you have been so occupied with other things to let yourself sit and dwell on the miserable fact that you have lost something. Or maybe your recovery process is working. You will most likely never know.
you are going to have to realize that you cant cry over something forever. You may wanna look at the situation in a different way. I believe its a little like facing death in an accident or something and you survived. Eventually you start doing a "Re-thinking" process. You simply think of all the things you took for granted, you suddenly have those flashbacks about your life and mistakes and that's when you realize your mistakes and try to learn from them.
To sum up, Maybe you need to get lost in order to find your way. You may call this learning the hard way, and maybe be thankful that it happened. After all, no one is perfect.
we should try to change after we realize our mistakes, and its crucial that the "realize" comes with "change". However sometimes its not very easy, especially when it has been our habits to do so. I'd say, as we still have the chances, we better change. Some people might think "I'll change later". But are you sure you will be living that long? and what if you do not manage to do what you have promised?
It's never too late , "Too late" is actually a sign of weakness. Look into your past and think, what if you said "Its too late to fix that" would it be fixed now? NO. As long as you keep trying there will always be a result. If you want to get something done, you can. whatever you go through, you can make something good out of it. Happy endings do not exist, the in-bet weens are what really matters.
